Pros y Contras
Pros y Contras
- The wind protection panel prevents cold air from entering, increasing comfort in low temperatures.
- The Thermoflex fleece on the back offers extra warmth and stretch so movement is not restricted.
- The zips at the ankles allow for quick putting on and taking off, and for a good transition to overshoes to keep out cold air.
- Reflective stripes above the knees and calves increase your visibility in low- and no-light conditions.
- The tight fit may feel less comfortable for those who prefer a looser style but contributes to the garment's aerodynamics.

The Castelli Polare 4 men's bib tight provides reliable insulation and protection from cold winds on rides in sub-zero temperatures. The combination of a front with Polartec AirCore fabric for full wind protection and a back with Thermoflex fleece delivers a good balance between warmth and freedom of movement. The Kiss Air2 seat pad supports long-lasting comfort and regulates moisture during high-intensity efforts.
Material and fit
The front is made of Polartec AirCore material that completely blocks wind and retains warmth on rides at or below 0°C. The back and seat are made of Thermoflex stretch fleece for extra insulation and high freedom of movement in cold conditions. The fit allows for an active sitting position, without pinching, and regulates moisture to keep your body dry during intense exertion in cold air.
Finish and extra details
Mesh bib straps wick away moisture and minimise sweat accumulation on the back. The KISS Air2 chamois distributes pressure and provides ventilation for comfort over longer distances. Reflective stripes above the knees at the front and above the calves at the back increase your visibility in low-light conditions. Zips at the ankles make dressing and undressing easier and allow for a good fit with overshoes to keep cold air out. The seams are positioned to minimise chafing.
